New partial dentures are for people that have lost some of their natural teeth. If you have lost some of your natural teeth, it is often beneficial to replace the missing teeth with a partial denture or another dental appliance to fill the gaps between your natural teeth. This can prevent your own natural teeth from moving into the gap, which could interfere with chewing food while you are eating.
If you have any of your natural teeth, you will need to be seen by a dentist before any treatment can start. It is important that all of your own natural teeth are checked by a dentist, who will advise you if you need to have any treatment on your natural teeth prior to any treatment for a new denture. If you are registered with a dentist, contact us to book a consultation appointment with us, and we can refer you to your dentist, or another dentist who we work with on a regular basis, who will provide us with a treatment plan to make you a new partial denture.
If you do not have a dentist, or have not seen your dentist for many years, we can refer you to a local practice, who will be happy to see you.
Many of our past patients have told us that they have had bad experiences with dentists in the past, and as a result, that they are very nervous about visiting a dentist. A dentist will be able to help and advise you about a new denture, or any other treatment that you may need, and will always do what he/she believes to be in your best interest. You will never be put under any pressure to have any treatment, but the dentist will give you all of your treatment options, and if necessary give you the time that you need to decide whether to have the treatment or not.
